The service
Need just a few locs instead of a full head? Single loc creation builds individual crochet dreadlocks from your natural hair, perfect for adding locs, filling gaps, or starting a few at a time.
Each loc is $25. To add an extension to a loc for extra length, add $15 per loc. Send photos for a free estimate first so we can confirm the count and plan your appointment.

Before you book
- A deposit is required when your appointment is booked.
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- Your deposit may be transferred one time to a replacement appointment within 14 days of the original date, subject to availability.
- If you don't rebook within that 14-day period, the deposit is forfeited and a new deposit is required to schedule again.
- Your signed intake form and release must be completed at least 24 hours before your appointment. If it isn't, your appointment will be canceled and your deposit forfeited.
- If you're under 18, a parent or legal guardian must complete and sign the intake form and release.
- You may reschedule yourself using the reschedule link in your confirmation up to 24 hours before your appointment.
- To cancel, email getlokd@hookedandlokd.com at least 24 hours before your appointment. Written cancellations keep the standard deposit transfer (once, within 14 days). Texts, DMs and no-shows do not count as a cancellation.
- Deposit: Paid electronically online when you book.
- Remaining balance: Cash only at your appointment.
Limited appointments
Join the Waitlist
Appointments are limited to two windows a week (one weekday, one weekend, around midday). If you don't see a time that works, join the waitlist and you'll be texted first when a spot opens.
